More about

Amanda Hyde

As a passionate Registered Music Therapist, my main focus is to bring a harmonious blend of expertise and compassion to the field. With a background in psychology and music, I have dedicated my career to using the power of music to enhance the well-being of individuals.

I completed my Master of Music Therapy at the University of Melbourne in 2023, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Canberra majoring in Counselling. I bring my own lived experiences with ill mental health and first-hand encounters with the power of music to my practice which helps ensure I work to the highest standards, along with a commitment to continuing professional development to ensure I stay at the forefront of therapeutic techniques.

I specialise in mental health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), early childhood and adolescents, and family relationships. I tailor each session to the unique needs of every participant, fostering an environment where music becomes the catalyst for healing and personal growth.

I believe in the transformative power of music and strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those I work with in my practice.

I am an active member of the Australian Music Therapy Association (AustMTA), contributing to the advancement of the field and staying connected with the latest research and best practices.

With a heart for connecting through music, I encourage individuals, families, and organisations to explore the therapeutic possibilities that music can offer through Rhythm and Bloom Music Therapy.
